LA DERNIÈRE VUE explores the edge between presence and disappearance

Alice Delsenne’s paintings explore in-between spaces: glimpses of interiors, uncertain openings, imagined landscapes.

These quiet scenes shared a almost unreal light and hold a quiet tension. Nature seems suspended, both present and already fading into memory.

From within these fragile spaces, a passage takes shape:
Is it a dream? A trace? An escape?
And what if, in what’s vanishing, the promise of a future still remained?

With a scenography by Coutume Studio, the paintings are shown in a still, mysterious space, caught between two realities.

Press release (FR)

LA DERNIÈRE VUE invites us to cross a subtle boundary between the real and the imaginary, between what we perceive and what escapes us.

Through her paintings, Alice Delsenne explores a world in transition, where the natural realm slowly slips away. Her canvases open onto quiet, dark spaces, veiled in a soft, hazy light, revealing a growing distance between humans and their environment.

Each painting is an encapsulated memory. What emerges is not the world as it is, but as it reaches us, filtered through the artist’s sensitivity, perceptions, and cultural imprints. These fragments of a vanishing landscape are shaped more by inner resonance than direct observation.

The exhibition offers a moment of stillness, a pause to reconsider our place as a species. Not as masters of a world we control, but as passing presences within a mysterious universe that exceeds us.
